Our Story

I have an obsession with wild foraging mushrooms and plants. I spend my free time roaming the Blue Ridge Mountains in search of wild edibles and medicinal plants. Over the years, I have relied on these plants and mushrooms to return my body into a state of health and wellness. Now I share my herbal formulations with the world using a mix of wild and organic herbs. I have a wild foraging Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5Io1uy5di4

The name "Son of a Bear" comes from the celtic origin of my last name Mahan. The original name was "Mac Mathghamha" which means Son of a / the Bear. Bears in ancient cultures are traditionally associated with herbalism because they are one of the few animals that dig roots.
